I took my mom there yesterday after she went and got some x rays in San Gabriel. She was very impressed by how clean, comfortable and quiet the restaurant was. We ordered hot original soy milk no sugar, which was served in a bowl, daikon cake, TW rice bowl (碗粿) and green onion pancakes. More food than we needed. The sauces are at the serve station where you can also get disposable utensils and cold water. We were very happy and set to return with my dad next time.

Love that I have a place to go to for taiwanese breakfast close by! their soymilk is super fresh tasting and the service is great. Definitely recommend the beef rolls, chinese donut, and a side of soy milk :). I've started trying their other food options as well, their pork chop rice has the perfect seasoning and crispiness to it and the cold noodle has been a favorite in the summer months. It is kind of pricey for what it is, but not too bad.

Yi Mei is a safe and affordable option whenever I'm craving some comfort Taiwanese brunch/breakfast foods or a rice roll in particular. The area is always really clean and there's convenient parking. My favorite is the rice roll, I don't think I'll ever visit without getting one. You can't go wrong with anything here. The crunch from the corners of the Daikon cakes is pretty satisfying.

Came here for the first time recently. I usually go to 四海 and 永和, but we were looking for something new. This place is really good. Quality and service is beyond what you usually get from 永和, although I still feel 永和 is OG. This was a great experience though. They use that system that stresses me out - where you order at the counter and you get a number and you have to find a table. But thankfully, they were doing pretty good crowd control, and didn't let you order until there was a table available (if you were dining in). So, this makes it marginally less stressful. Even though they were pretty full, we only waited for about 10 minutes or so for a table to open up. We got the 燒餅夾蛋, the 蔥油餅加蛋, veggie 飯糰, and 鹹豆漿 (veggie style, so they use picked mustard greens rather than pork floss). I really appreciate that the Taiwanese breakfast places here still have soymilk. A lot of breakfast places in Taiwan have moved away from offering soymilk because it's a pain to make every day, so you have to go to places that specialize in soymilk. And everything was delicious. The sound bounces a bit here, but you could still hear each other in conversation. Parking in the lot, but the lot is small - we were lucky to find a place on Sunday during lunch rush, but I can see the lot getting filled up at certain times of the day. Bathrooms are gendered, multistalled, and clean enough.

i love a good taiwanese breakfast. this spot is a mix of sit down and self service, and it's a good spot for a quick lunch. purple rice roll - you can customize the toppings, and this is a great grab and go meal. it's not too dry, and it's very filling pork chop rice - nothing special, but the pork is crispy and i love the little toppings on it oyster pancake - this pancake was pretty good! it's flavorful and has all the right textures. probably my favorite part of this meal beef noodle soup - the noodle was wayyy too overcooked, it really messed with the whole meal. in fact, it felt like they scraped the noodle at the bottom of a pan... kind of mid on the bright side, there is a parking lot here, plenty of seating, and a big menu so you have a lot of choices. realistically, i would just come back for the rice roll

Was craving Taiwanese breakfast food and found Yi Mei. The parking lot only has a handful of spot in it so it can be hard to find parking if you come on a weekend. I came between lunch and dinner on a weekday and there was still only 2 open spots available. The inside is pretty spacious and there were only a few people inside. The only drawback I found is that I found the service a bit nonexistent. I wasn't sure what to do when I stepped inside but after a few minutes someone came to the front and told me I could either order with them or sit down and order from the table. I used the table mobile menu to order Hot Soy Peanut Milk, the Purple Rice Roll, Egg Omelette, and Beef Sandwich. The food didn't take long to arrive but while waiting you can pick up utensils and sauces from a side bar. Everything was great and filled my cravings. I'd definitely come back to pick some up to go.

I was really craving taiwanese breakfast and was recommended to check out this place. This restaurant is located in a plaza so there is a small parking lot, otherwise there is street parking on the main road. There's ample seating inside, and it wasn't too packed when I came around brunch time. Purple rice roll (4/5): This was good and definitely really filling. The portion is big, so I personally couldn't finish it but I thought the dish itself was good. I think it would taste good if it had some sort of sauce since it's really carb heavy and dry. So sauce could possibly help balance out the texture, but I don't know what sauce would go well with it. Chinese donut (5/5): This is probably the best chinese donut I've ever had. So crispy on the outside and pairs perfectly with the soy milk. Soy milk (3/5): The soy milk on its own is not my favorite, but paired with the chinese donut was amazing. The milk comes in a bowl so it is a lot if you're just using it to dip the donut with.

Felt like I was eating a home cooked meal. The beef roll was my absolute favorite and was really rich in flavor and texture. Pairs well with the chili sauce and/or garlic sauce. Everything else was delicious as well. Felt like "Anton Ego trying Ratatouille at Gustav's"

Yi mei is my go-to for fan tuans and turnip cakes. First time at this location, but the restaurant was pretty spacious. Parking lot wasn't full when I came around 11 on a Sunday, but was packed when we left an hour later. Fan tuan: sticky rice wasn't too hard, and it had the perfect amount of pickled vegetables, pork sung, and oil bread ratio, 5/5. Daikon cake: oily, but flavor never disappoints. It was crispy and delicious, 4.5/5. Popcorn chicken plate: The chicken was crispy and the minced meat was well flavored. Portion was decent, 4.5/5. Salty sesame bread: I wouldn't buy this at this location again. It was oily, hard, and double fried, 0/5. Everything was good, besides the salty sesame bread today. Service was friendly and quick.

I came here for Christmas morning breakfast and it was a great experience. You sit down where you can and you use the QR code on the tables to order. Once you pay, they deliver directly to your table. The service is super efficient & quick. My favorite was the daikon pancakes with egg. It has lots of texture instead of just soggy like how it's usually served. There's lots of Taiwanese breakfast items. It's also an amazing price. We got so many dishes & it only cost $100 for 5 people. Definitely would come again.
